The Kwiksave Gift Scheme Story

The Kwiksave Gift Scheme was launched all the way back in 1986. It succeeded an older gift scheme called Lombardi Gift Scheme. The latter was launched in the 1950’s. The Kwiksave Gift Scheme is managed by Sloane Ltd which is owned by Alf. Mizzi and Sons Ltd and Alf. Mizzi and Sons Marketing Ltd. The Alf. Mizzi and Sons business entity imports a wide range of products within the Maltese islands and is widely considered as the leading importer and distributor within Malta. When the Kwiksave scheme launched their offices were in Zachary street, Valletta. Nowadays they are based in Mriehel, Malta and in Republic Street, Rabat in Gozo.

What is the Kwiksave Gift Scheme?

The Kwiksave Gift Scheme is a loyalty scheme aimed at all consumers that are based in Malta. Upon signing up to the scheme, consumers can collect the packaging of participating products and exchange them for points. These points are then converted to euro currency. The current exchange rate is that of 100 points to €0.64. You may view your balance anytime by logging into your account via their website or their mobile app. The Kwiksave mobile app is available both on android and iOS devices via the Play Store and App Store respectively.

To exchange the points, the product packaging needs to be taken to one of Kwiksave’s premises. In Malta you will need to go to:
Kwiksave Gift Scheme, Triq 13 ta’ Settembru 1978, Mriehel, Malta

In Gozo you will need to go to:

Our Opinion

We believe that if you purchase products that are listed in the catalogue you should signup to the scheme to earn something back. Realistically, to gather a significant number of points it will take some time. It will depend on how many of the listed products you make use of and how often you use them. That said, most product brands participating in the Kwiksave Malta scheme are top brands. Most of the time their pricing is more expensive than their competing brands. If you enjoy buying the products cause you trust the brand or enjoy the product, go ahead and keep purchasing them. On the other hand, don’t simply purchase products that participate within the Kwiksave scheme to accumulate points. You will find competing brands that are so much cheaper, that they make up for the lack of a gift scheme.
